Shadow came to Second Life knowing little about online worlds, there were so few at the time she joined. She had heard about Second Life from an episode of “CSI: New York” and thought she would have a look. What a wonderful place it was. It didn’t take long for her to make a few friends and get into the grove of things. She spent the next 4 or 5 years working in help centers and exploring, going from sim to sim …. club to club, never staying in one place for long.
About 4 years ago she landed upon a dark, run down, almost deserted sim. She walked into the tiny office at the landing and was greeted by skinny, blond haired girl named Trina. RLV was enabled, a hud pasted on, and she was pushed back out the door she had come in. What happen next took her breath away and made her heart race. She was hooked. For the next 6 months, she was here consistently, she couldn’t get enough of the place. When the sim closed down for its first face lift, she was lost, and had no idea where to go or what else to do. Sometime shortly after that, Trina came to her and said” I just put you on staff….. now stop standing around and make yourself useful.” (Edit: I don’t think I worded it quite like -that-…but it was close! Trina =p )
In the last 3 1/2 years Shadow has learned the ins and outs of RLV, cuff and collar systems, our hud system, Mesh clothing, Mesh Avatars and has been a constant fixture around the sim, and remains one of the smiling faces of the Serenity Lost Staff. She is the oldest active member of the group and can be found on the sim almost every day.
